SQL Governor can be configured to automatically get host data for monitored SQL Server VMs from VMware vCenter. Prerequisites for this are:
- vCenter needs to be have network connectivity from the Proxy machine
- vCenter user for Proxy needs to be created
- Read-only permissions
- High enough in the hierarchy to cover the required hosts and "Propagate to children" option selected
- When vCenter integration is enabled and run in Proxy for the first time, Proxy will install Nuget provider and PowerCLI PowerShell module onto the machine. This means that:
